Meet the Co-Founders

Raichel is a Mental Health Social Worker with over 20 years of experience, and Madelein is a Clinical Counsellor and Social Worker. The two met in 2022, quickly connecting over a shared passion for Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Their relationship blossomed through this mutual vision: to make DBT skills and trauma therapy accessible to all—individuals, carers, and clinicians alike. Their combined expertise and heartfelt dedication shape every aspect of Wise Mind, creating a space where learning, support, and connection come to life.

At The Wise Mind Collective, we draw on extensive hands-on experience in the therapeutic space, supporting recovery from trauma through integrative approaches including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and more.

Raich has worked across both inpatient and outpatient mental health units, led social work teams within NSW Health, and facilitated DBT groups in both public and private settings. She now focuses her work in private practice, supporting individuals through trauma-informed, evidence-based care at Wise Mind Collective.

Maddy brings deep expertise in working with high-risk, complex clients in crisis and suicide prevention settings. She has coordinated and managed large clinical teams and developed DBT group programs. Her leadership and clinical insight make her an invaluable part of the team.

Together, Maddy and Raich balance each other’s strengths, combining practical experience with therapeutic excellence to support meaningful mental health recovery. Their shared passion for trauma-focused recovery and DBT led them to launch a podcast—where they explore these topics in depth each week.

Through engaging podcast episodes, individual and group supervision for clinicians, and tailored DBT skills training for organisations, we create accessible, evidence-based resources designed to support both personal and professional growth.

Whether you’re looking to deepen your therapeutic practice, explore DBT in action, or equip your team with practical tools, we’re here to help.

Tune in weekly for insights, strategies, and authentic conversations—or connect with us directly to create meaningful change for yourself, your clients, or your workplace.

Together, we build lives worth living.
